Well ive showed you a taster but heres the full project as posted on another scooter forum! Well seeings as ive posted it everywhere else I thought I may as well show you guys as well!! Well Ive been talking about it for some time now im talking about it even more this time with a lil more gusto! Ive got an engine sourced from a 125 Typhoon and an aprillia sr rear wheel for it. Ive been working on the bodywork whilst I get the money together for the engine. Ive sorted out the engine mount and go the headlights ready to fit into the front fairing like a ducati front end one up one down afair! I met this guy called andy who had flushed his rear indicators and fitted some oval led indicators under the spoiler see the pic to get the idea. Ive also started to smooth out the rear spoiler and flush the front nose cone even more! And ive cut a new style hugger for the engine as well!
Picture number 8 of my rear end had to brighten it up so you could see it ok ish
been busy at the front end this time fitting trhe new lights that ive done ducati styleeeee New light block.
Fitted two the frame.
Nose cone fitted
Needs a little work to get them right but it looks ok
Been mocking up the bike today ready for fitting the AC engine when it arrives.
Lots more sanding going on and nearly dieng from inhaling to much fibreglass dust LOL
Well here it is the back end so far. will look better once its all cleaned up and ive cleaned the fuel tank made plate holder etc etc.
Been at it again sun was shining when I started but then it went on when I got the camera out!
Dunno wether ill use the SR front wheel! but it looks dammn cool especially as Im getting the same style for the rear!
Another day and work progress's Thanks to Tom172 for the loan of the exhaust!
well finally got my aprillia SR fornt wheel into the fork stanchions just waiting for the steering column and fork brace to arrive!!
Keeping the front mudguard in line with the rear one pointy style!!
Bastad sodding nose cone finally recessed the lights after 3 hours of hard graft and a piece of 2mtr guttering from B&Q because I need roughly 6 inches to create the recess's, well tis done now all i gotta do is work out the alignement for the lights when the forks are done.
Front nose cone with layer of filler primer
Side stand modified and fitted
Here she is mocked up a bit more
Finally a rolling chassis!!
whos the bastad in the black MMMMEEEEE MOFOs
LMAO
Got me new manuals and wiring loom!!
well fitted the 28mm carb into a standard 21mm manifold!!! Just wondering how long its gonna be till it explodes!
I decided to get off my ass and dissasemble the zips engine and get the wire brushes and do summit about it!
Engine before!!
With some love and a wire brush drill bit
And to make it easy to clean I painted it.
Then ive found when i left it outside one night the engine has seized with rust so no choice but to get new crank and a 172 now just gonna have to wait a lil longer before I can finish it oh well!
