Picked up a rather cheap 2005 Piaggio NRG for my daughter (blondie_biker_chick) today, and it seems to have a minor niggle.
Firstly it seems to need to be revved to appx 4500rpm before it starts to move, (is this normal?), and secondly, on the offside side of the engine, there is a round black cover with 6 bolts going through it into the engine; (I presume that this is the clutch), and one of these bolts is missing, would this perhaps be the cause of the "niggle" mentioned above.
If anyone has any ideas, or even better if anyone local would take a look at it for me I'd be grateful before I set her loose on the road on it
erm i dont really know anything about scooters, but it could be down to the exhaust. 2 of my mates have NRGs an one feels really sliuggish untill the revs are built up. where as the other looks a bit better, they both had diffrent make an style exhausts

yep, was coming to that way of thinking myself; though it is rather snazzy offa the mark, I would like to refit the proper rollers instead, make it a little more user friendly for my youngun to ride, especially whilst she still learning.
Time to phone the local Piaggio dealer methinks, and that aint gonna be cheap :(
Gonna hange on for a week or so firstly to see how she gets on with it as it is, and secondly we strapped for cash after buyin the thing, lol
Basically needs a look over is all, check the 2 stroke feed adjusted correctly, throttle cable need adjustin as well but be damned if I can find where, lol
