Errrr, Can't read my plate? You better catch up then!
R1FAN, Mad Matt, 52K, John Stamps and a few others all have massive amounts of race and track experience - they will be riding as "extra" instructors on the day - and the whole day has been organised by them, mainly R1FAN and 52K.
A load of us have never "track dayed" before - so should be a real good learning experience -I have never tracked before - and will be riding in the Novice group.
There is no shame at all - anyone who gets out on a track day deserves respect for just turning up - I am aprehensive myself - but NOT about falling off - just the excitement of finally getting (safely) out on a track!
Loads of words of wisdom from the experienced track riderz - like "Don't turn up thinking you're gonna chuck your bike down the road"..... or you will! You can always ride round the track at 30mph all day if you want...... it's learning new skills - and is NOT a race at the end of the day!
Life is all about learning - to stunt - to race - to find out new things..... thas what this forum is all about
No attitude - no bullshit - just people having fun and learning new shit
I will probably be tracking my ZRX (what's left of it! ) which some would say is NOT a track bike......
Rather you than me mate... tho it's would be a cunning stunt... Do you think your legs can take any more metalwork... You sure as hell won't need titanium knee sliders to get sparks when you put your knee down mate.
*heh heh* I am trying to avoid any more of those types of stunts Ithink the next time my legs are gonna bend rather than break *LOL*
BTW - you obviously haven't realised that You are one of the "nominated" (errrr.....by me ) racers that are gonna try and teach me to ride the AWOL Track Bike
I can only trust myself with an ickle bike to start with - cos I wanna learn on a bike that really needs to be worked.... I have become very lazy from riding big muscly 1000's

Hiya AL,
I have never been on a trackday before - and I have no intention of binning my bike!!!!
Luckily I have people like R1FAN, 52K, Mad Matt, Grant and Jon Stamps to talk too!
I am hugely excited about the Track Day - one of my dreams come true, and obviously will be excitedly nervous on the day!
I have asked many questions of experienced track day riders (and racers) - so I know I will be fine.....You have a thing called a "throttle" and a thing called "brakes" !!!!!
A trackday is not about going fast (necessarily) - but about LEARNING..... braking points, apexes and how to position yourself on the track..... as Novices we will get a full briefing before the day on how to conduct ourselves on the track for safety. Anyone riding in a dangerous manner will be pulled aside....and if they don't calm down will be told to leave the track!!!!!
Much more safe than being on the road.....good fun.....hard work....and amazingly satisfying - or so I've been told by peeps I trust!!!!
