Guys, im after a cheap (very cheap) motorcross helmet for when im out messing about. Personally i think they look awsome. Havent got alot to spend, anything considered, new, second hand! so if anyone wants to flog one let me no. Im a sizle medium, not to sure what messuments that is?
You shouldnt really ride in a second hand lid' especialy a moto-x lid as helmets mould to the shape of your skull' there for if you use someone else's it will not fit right or protect you in a crash as it should do mate' if you pop in to Rexjudds edgware ask for baz' i will hook you up with a NEW good light weight moto-x helmet for less then £50.00
also with MX helmets they usually get crashed in a lot more than road stuff, especially if used off road.. so most helmets usually have had a few knocks !! I know my MX helmet has had a few knocks off road.. dont risk it , buy a new one
Tony hun i also agree with the above at the end of the day it's your head and you really only get one chance to protect it So buying a second helmet isnt a good idea at least if you pay a little bit more for a new one you will no that it fits you properly and is going to do the job it supposed to do Take care

ssshhh My voices are arguing again and i want to listen !! :@)
Gotta Agree with all that's been said..... What price would you put on your head??!!
The little "off" I had a Mallory had me seeing double for a couple of minutes, and took a chunk of paint off my Arai .... so imagine what would have happened if the lid had come apart!!!???
Just been to Bazstard's "other gaff" - to be served by "Sales Angel" of the year.... Got a damn good price on a damn fine lid (Cheers to "The Turd") and got my (other) helmet serviced at the same time..... (Notice how I left that open for rude comments....errr.... I WISH!!!!)
thanks for the responses guys, how much can you get the lids for ghostie? my old slap head dads got a trade acount with Bike It, seen one in there but they look alittle cheap and nasty. I also see one in the local bike shope, Takachi V6 or something like tht for £50... so not to sure
Those Dixon lids that Bike It "Trade" at 29.99 can be bought on ebay for £25 easily enough. Oh and Tony..the only lids that she will be polishing are mine!!
YOU WISH MATE !!!

Errrr, Can't read my plate? You better catch up then!
yeah the KBC is a very good price. Think it is extremely low priced as well. My brother got one a few years ago, used it on the dirt a few times, but still uses it on his supermoto at the moment. Also 444-riderz Lee has just picked one up at the TT for £40 They will be priced ( i think) between 50- 80 pound now, very good lid. Even think they have removable lining to wash aswell. which is a must, everytime i clean the inside of my mx lid and see all the dirt etc and wish i washed it the week before
Definatly wouldnt buy second hand, even if you have to wait longer go for a better lid, its your head that has to go in there!
Okaye i brought a mx helmet last friday and sold it for £40 worth of burtons gift cards lol. THERE HORRIBLE! it made my neck ache and since i started wearing it no bike would nod to me :( it looked stuppid aswell. Even if i had a mx bike i dont think i would have one, there awful! Was another one of my mad impolce buys, *note to self* STOP BUYING THINGS YOU DONT NEED! This experience cost me £65.00 bloody pounds! :(
mx lids rock! i hate normal ones lol, im deffo having mx lid(not for test tho lol) so much more confortable! but your neck could be hurting due to the peak catching the air.
If you had a mx bike with a road lid, you would get some serious stick. lol. and plus when a rock off a 450 hits you bang in the visor and smashes it lol! people would aim for you lol
