I've had a 250LC and a 350LC ... those bikes were so much fun!

The 350 was stolen from my mates garage.

Hmmmm.....I didn't realise I was that "mashed" when I was a youngster!!!!

It was the predecessor to the RD250 ("coffin") - it was a triple (as far as I can remember??!!) and had a pear sheaped tank - awesome machine! My best mate had one.... used to live in a little village in Bedfordshire.... and he lived in the next one.... could hear him on every straight and corner on his way home!!!! Sometimes I could also hear the sirens chasing him!!!!!

Been looking for pictures of it on the web.... can't find any

Someone tell me I didn't imagine it!!!!

The Kettle was the GT750 if I remember rightly! ... The name Kettle came from their ability to overheat the middle cylinder and boil the coolant (as they were a liquid cooled two stroke whereas the KH750 was an air cooled affair).

yup, thats the one. Major nostalgia buzz for me those are, my dad had an N reg one back in the summer of '76 (one of the hottest ever), and that was also the summer I finally left school, lol. Dad used to come and pick me up from Boarding School every other weekend priot to me leaving School, and we'd always have a hell of a blast on it. Sadly he's gone now but the memories of ridin pillion with him all through that long hot summer on that old kettle still remain
